According to dictionary.com, "fungus is any of a diverse group of eukaryotic single-celled or multinucleate organisms that live by decomposing and absorbing the organic material in which they grow, comprising the mushrooms, molds, mildews, smuts, rusts, and yeasts, and classified in the kingdom Fungi or, in some classification systems, in the division Fungi (Thallophyta) of the kingdom Plantae." Fungi is the plural form of fungus.
Despite their often-overlooked nature, fungi, with their myriad names and expressions, are more prevalent than one might think. They can harm the human physical body, dysregulate mental health, and affect the overall psychophysiology. They can be in a single location or spread systemically, causing havoc. Some conditions associated with fungi are body aches, such as joint and muscle pains, brain fog, exhaustion, constipation or diarrhea, hair loss, facial blotchiness or redness, generalized inflammation, itchiness, and many others.
With chronic illness on the rise, people's bodies are more susceptible to this infection. Their immune systems are already fighting a disease, so the immune system is compromised, and their gut health is likely disturbed. People are often unaware that they have this infection. Also, the symptoms can be associated with numerous other ailments and illnesses, which can become very confusing to diagnose even for the most caring, intelligent, and determined healer.
This infection can last a long while, as it did for someone I know, and gradually deteriorate the health of its host. If this isn't enough to sound alarming or overwhelming, it may take several days to several months or a year of persistence and discipline to treat this infection completely. In a world addicted to quick fixes and pills, this can require much support from family and community, emphasizing the crucial role of a strong support system in the journey to recovery. As Sri Sri Ravi Shankar reminds us, "You are in the boat, and the boat is on the water. The water is not in the boat." It is a metaphorical idea that reminds us not to allow the challenges to overwhelm us and to maintain a level of detachment. If you need mental health support rooted in the science of Yoga, Vedanta, meditation, breathing exercises, and Ayurveda, go here.
Let's focus on one of the most common strains of fungi: Candida albicans, commonly referred to as Candida. If this begins in the gut, it can cause digestive issues and rectal itchiness. If it is in the mouth, it can cause thrush, a thick white coating that's quite itchy and painful. If it is in the vagina, it causes a cheesy discharge, itchiness, and burning.
The Candida infection worsens with antibiotics, steroids, birth control pills, heavy metals, a high-sugar and high-starch diet, and emotional or physical stress, as they increase cortisol levels. If left untreated, Candidiasis changes to a more complex fungal form, producing spores and growing hyphae. In other words, spores are like the seeds of a plant that spread the growth of new plants, enabling fungi to colonize in new areas, and hyphae are the long root-like stalks (the fuzzy 'hair' that sticks out) that attach to the host, the food source, the person's intestines for example. So, in the intestines, Candida will puncture the intestinal wall with its stalks, causing tearing, and through this damaged tear, the partially digested food will escape into the bloodstream, causing inflammation and numerous problems. This condition is unofficially known as a leaky gut.
Candida is known to produce mycotoxins, toxic byproducts of its metabolism. At least 79 different toxins are believed to be released due to this process. For instance, when Candida ferments sugars in the gut or bloodstream, it generates alcohol. Then, this alcohol breaks down into acetaldehyde, a toxic chemical more potent than and similar to formaldehyde, a substance used in embalming. Acetaldehyde accumulates in the brain, spinal cord, joints, and muscles, interfering with neurotransmitter pathways, the nervous and endocrine systems, the metabolism, and the immune function, leading to myriad debilitating symptoms. It also has a distinct smell you will sense during a bowel movement.
Once again, Candida symptoms can be confused with other infections and vice versa. Laboratory testing can be essential to diagnosing this condition. In rare cases, this infection can be missed on standard testing. I hope this is not the case every time. I could catch a person's Candida infection using my Bioresonance Laboratory after several other standard lab tests, such as a urine test, fecal test, biopsy, and several dermatology cultures that had shown no Candidiasis. These labs are available to anyone interested. The process involves requesting a testing kit, swiping your cheek for saliva, and returning the kit to the lab. This technology is very sensitive and will pull the rates that resonate with pathogens that must be addressed.
After finding this infection, I treated her with Rife technology. Exposure to 464hz for three minutes has been researched and shown to slow down Candida growth by 20%, as it is a subharmonic of Candida's Mortal Oscillatory Rate. Nevertheless, this isn't the only frequency required for a comprehensive treatment, and in my clinic, I use an extensive protocol. In addition, I can program the drinking water with antifungal frequencies for a longer-lasting treatment.
I recommend Supertuning Therapy for everyone. This therapy uses advanced technology to detect and correct imbalances in your subtle body, which is believed to be the energetic counterpart of your physical body. For a person experiencing a chronic illness, this therapy can help identify and remedy energetic imbalances contributing to their health issues. For healing to occur and remedies to assimilate, it is crucial to have an energetic flow without blocks and balance, which Supertuning Therapy can help achieve.
The Global Healing brand offers a simple but highly effective forty-day herbal detox for harmful organisms, which includes removing parasites and balancing Candida. I found it to be gentle and supportive. You can find this bundle on their website (I am not affiliated with the brand and do not make a commission advertising their product) or sign up for my Fullscript pharmacy here and receive a 20% discount on all top-quality, highly rated products, including this detox. In addition to this detox bundle, I recommend a binder to bind the toxins released when the herbs break the biofilm and ozonated magnesium to clear all this junk out of your body daily. Ascaris, roundworms, and other parasites can hide in Candida biofilm and heavy metals. Suppose you do not use a binder and are constipated. In that case, you will feel sick because the released toxins will circulate and can attach to other organs or parts of your body or reabsorb into your system through your intestinal wall. My complete list of recommendations is under "Candida Detox" in my Fullscript pharmacy.
Ozone is a healer. It is antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial, and antiviral and stimulates and supports the immune system. I offer ozone water, which goes directly into the stomach and deals with pathogens there. When it goes in rectally, it circulates systemically via the hepatic port. Vaginal insufflations can help with chronic yeast. Ear insufflations can provide relief for sinuses and ENT issues. Check out Ozone Therapy for more information.
We all have yeast in our gut. The goal is to keep a healthy balance. Your treatment protocol must include a variety of prebiotics and probiotics, which can come from food or capsules. Taking the same probiotic for an extended period will create gut dysbiosis, a microbiome imbalance. Although S.Boulardii is known to fight Candida, it can also escape into the bloodstream through the 'leaky gut' and make individuals ill. Healing isn't linear, but it is possible. And at times, there is some trial and error.
Because we do not know if Candida infection is the root cause of infection or a secondary infection, it is important to note new symptoms or any changes that occur. Removing Candida may need to be repeated several times using various probiotics and antimicrobial formulas while simultaneously treating the primary infection. You have to be able to pivot your protocol depending on your symptoms. Your body is our guide.
In Ayurvedic medicine, the gut is considered the second brain. Every experience, including feelings and emotions, not only food, begins digestion in the gut before it can be processed and integrated for a healthy life. This means that having a well-functioning digestion is critical to being well physically, mentally, and spiritually. In Ayurvedic medicine, we laser focus on the healthy microbiome as healing relies on it. Depending on your vikruti, you can include Ayurvedic herbs such as turmeric, ginger, Triphala, CCFT, and many others. Adapting a specific diet that does not feed Candida but starves it, eliminating sugar, grain, carbs, and nightshades, is crucial in managing Candida. Adding fiber and fermented foods like kimchee and kefir with live cultures is excellent. Of course, managing stress is vital. Please schedule your consultation here if you want to improve your gut health, treat or prevent your candida infection, strengthen your immune system, and improve your overall well-being.
How we think of "our" illness is also essential when working with it. Our thoughts make up our minds. It is important to remember that positive thoughts create a positive mind; negative thoughts create a negative mind. Also, in Yogic science, we practice the law of ahimsa, non-violence. We strengthen the immune system, making the body uninhabitable for pathogens to survive. Therefore, we do not kill fungi, parasites, viruses, or bacteria. We invite them to leave. At the same time, we fill our hearts, mind, and spirit with unwavering gratitude. We affirm that we are healthy. Now, if this is a stretch for your current state of health, I suggest the advice of Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, "If you are unwell, don't ask to be healed; instead, ask to be restored to that perfection from which you emanated."
